Reflecting on the emotional and abstract measures for countering drunk driving,
we will implement initiatives that have already been in place in the Kanto and Kansai regions
for the past 20 years in Fukuoka Prefecture.
Starting this week, from Friday, October 10,
we will conduct sobriety checkpoints on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 PM to 1 AM.
Checkpoints will be implemented for all stopped vehicles at the first traffic signal in locations with izakayas along national roads.
Please drive carefully after 8 PM.
